On  Wednesday July 22nd attendees have a choice to volunter to participate in the John Cleese Just for Laughs Gala event which includes the chance to watch the Gala show being rehearseed, meet John Cleese and watch the full gala event show from backstage.

This free ticket includes a free attendance to the Teralys cocktail on Wednesday July 22nd and a spot to rehearse & participate in the John Cleese Gala event on Wednesday July 22.

We would like to have the volunteers arrive at the venue no later than 13h30. We have scheduled a rehearsal with Mr. Cleese that afternoon and will also be rehearsing their role in Act 2 of the Gala which occurs after Intermission. They will have a chance to watch some of this rehearsal taking place on stage before we begin our work with them. We will rehearse with them later in the afternoon. Their roles will be ushers, walking through the house handing out collection baskets, collecting funds for The John Cleese Gala; For the Benefit of John Cleese.

Location of the Gala: Théâtre Saint-Denis 1594 St-Denis Street, Montréal, QC H2X 3K2

Location of the rehearsal : We will enter from the backstage area just north of the corner of Rue Saguinet and de Maisonneuve blvd. *

There will be large mobile vehicles in the street. Volunteers can make their way to the gates. Their names will be listed on the entrance list. They will be given passes which they must then carry with them in the backstage area.

Break : 17h00 – 18h30 Gala : 19h00

Dress: We would ask the volunteers to wear, comfortable casual dress/sport. No jeans.

Mr. Jacques Bernier of Teralys Capital will say a few words about the formation of Teralys Capital.   

Following Mr. Jacques Bernier's comments there will be a short speech on Montreal's role as a innovative & creative community by Mr. Albert Nerenberg. Albert Nerenberg is an award-winning filmmaker, journalist and Laughologist for CBC radio. His feature documentary Laughology recently played to sell out crowds at the Hot Docs and Just for Laughs FIlm Festivals, which was called "screamingly funny" (National Post) and the most comprehensive filmed study of laughter ever. Nerenberg has been traveling the world researching the source and nature of contagious laughter. As well he has developed a contagious laughter health method called Laughercize, which is being used to help rehabilitate drug addicts. Laughercize is now taught by instructors around Canada for general wellness. Nerenberg also developed the Laughter Party which is a new way of integrating more laughter into everyday life. He recently penned a 10 part series on the Neuroscience of Positivity for the Montreal Gazette. As a filmmaker, he has been the subject of retrospectives at the Cinematheque Quebecoise and the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal.

Following the welcome reception at Pub L'Ile Noire at 18h30 (6:30pm) guests will have VIP Tickets to the John Cleese Just for Laughs Gala Event at Theatre St. Denis.   Tickets will be delivered at the cocktail reception.
